GOOD TO KNOW
Welcome to your home in Pedersöre! To help you settle in, we have collected some useful information about your apartment:
KEEPING COSTS DOWN TOGETHER
We strive to keep our rents as low as possible. We do this by focusing on long-term solutions that keep our properties in good shape. Here are some tips for how you can help us keep your rent low:
-
Keep the apartment temperature between 19 and 21°C (66 and 70F).
-
When leaving the apartment, always check that no windows or doors have been left open.
-
Use water sparingly, and check for leaks regularly. For example, take a look under the sink every now and then to make sure that nothing is wrong.
-
Check that the faucet and toilet are not leaking.
-
Turn off all lights in your own apartment and in common areas when lighting is not needed.
-
Set the refrigerator and freezer to the correct temperature: 5°C is recommended for refrigerators and -18°C for freezers.
-
To keep your stove and oven working as they should, clean the stove regularly, and scrub the oven thoroughly a few times a year.
If you notice that something is broken in the apartment or in the common areas, please let us know as soon as possible! Read more about how to report a problem here.
WATER FEES
The tap water in all of our apartments is high-quality drinking water produced from groundwater. The water fee consists of the cost for cold water, a heating cost for hot water, and a fee for managing wastewater.
Depending on the apartment, water consumption is:
a) Measured with apartment-specific water meters. You pay a monthly advance per person, and the total is then adjusted based on meter readings four times a year. In other words, you only pay for your actual water usage. This applies to apartments that have district heating, geothermal heating or oil heating, where heating is included in the rent.
b) Measured with apartment-specific cold water meters. You pay a monthly advance per person, and the total is then adjusted based on meter readings four times a year. In other words, you only pay for your actual water usage. This applies to apartments with direct electric heating, where heating is not included in the rent.
c) Charged according to the number of inhabitants. You pay a fixed fee per person per month. If we discover that you have under-reported the number of people living in the apartment, you will be charged an additional fee.
If you are unsure which fee type applies to your particular apartment, please contact our property secretary.
TRASH DOES NOT BELONG IN THE DRAIN
The toilet should not be used as a garbage bin. The toilet is only meant for human waste. Garbage and hazardous waste do not belong in the sewer. Read more about what you can and can't flush down the toilet here (1.7MB): The bathroom is not for garbage disposal
OUTDOOR AREAS
The outdoor areas are for everyone's enjoyment and must be kept clean and tidy. If your home is a rowhouse/townhouse with its own patio, you are responsible to keep it in good condition, etc. Children are welcome to use their own toys, but please remember to tidy up after they are done playing. Please do not store garbage on glazed balconies/terraces.
Place cigarette butts in designated containers, do not throw them into the courtyard.
STORAGE SPACE
Each apartment has its own lockable storage space in either the basement or carport or next to the entrance. Keep the storage area tidy. Do not store flammable liquids, strong smelling substances etc. in the storage space.
Apartment buildings also have shared storage spaces for bicycles, strollers, sports equipment etc.
STAIRWELL
Please remember that the stairwells are not a meeting space or playground. Move as quietly as possible in the stairwells, and avoid slamming doors and talking loudly. Strollers may be stored in the stairwells, but nothing else.
SAUNA
The property's tenants have the right to use the communal sauna (if available) as reserved on the sauna list. Please remember to keep the sauna and other communal areas clean and tidy after use.
WASTE DISPOSAL
-
Waste needs to be sorted for recycling. Please follow the instructions on the waste containers. For more information about how to sort waste, visit Ekorosk's website: Sorting waste for recycling
-
Always put the right waste in the right container.
-
Everything that is not household waste (furniture, electronics, Christmas trees, etc.) must be transported directly to the recycling station by the tenant.
PARKING
-
Contact our property secretary to find out what options are available. Contact information is available here.
-
Parking is only allowed in the carports and parking lots. Do not park near or in front of entrances as this may block important access routes. Rescue services and property management must have unobstructed access to the building!
-
Avoid letting your car idle unnecessarily.
-
Passenger compartment heaters must always use a programmed timer. NOTE! At some of our properties, it is not possible to have both the engine heater and the passenger compartment heater turned on at the same time!
